Flight Paramedic and Base Medical Manager at Highlands Emergency Air Rescue & Transport
Cody Jackson has been involved in emergency medical services (EMS) in Southwest Virginia since 2006 where he began serving his community as a volunteer EMT in high school. In 2008, Cody began a stint in public safety telecommunications with Wythe County Sheriff's Office and, later, the Wythe County Emergency Communications Center. He later transitioned to working in EMS full-time and now serves as a flight paramedic and base medical manager for Highlands Emergency Air Rescue and Transport (H.E.A.R.T) in Marion, Virginia. He is a 2010 graduate of Emory & Henry University, and he most recently completed his master's degree in emergency medical care through Western Carolina University in 2021.
